On
July 26, Dr. Merryl Kafka, Curator of Education, New York Aquarium met
with our Oceanography students, counseling them to be aware and curious
about everything in their lives in addition to science. Dr. Kafka informed
them about careers in marine science and showed a video on the aquarium's
student volunteer docent program which begins with students of high
school age.

the Chat & Chew with Dr. Kafka, the students learned new rope knots
from their Oceanography student mentors.
