Utilizing NOAA Web Sites & Data to Supplement Classroom Instruction
Professional Development Teacher Workshop

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008 the Office of Marine Technology, Office of Collaborative Programs and Kingsborough Community College, conducted a professional development conference for 37 high school teachers. The conference, Utilizing NOAA Web Sites & Data to Supplement Classroom Instruction, was led by Dr. Diana Payne, Connecticut Sea Grant - University of Connecticut and Dr. Sage Lichtenwalner - Institute of Marine and Coastal Studies - Rutgers, State University of New Jersey. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a federal agency focused on the condition of the oceans and the atmosphere.
