College For A Day at Kingsborough

On Saturday, April 14, College Now held it's first annual College for a Day Event at Kingsborough Community College. The topics discussed were: Financial Aid and Selecting the Right College, The Freshman Year Experience: College Survival Tips, College Majors and Career Pathways. Also, students had the opportunity to sit in on actual Kingsborough courses being held on that day.

Dr. Rachelle Goldsmith, Honors Program, informs over 200 parents and students about the benefits of the Honors College at Kingsborough Community College.
Dr. Robert Pero, College Now Director, with Kingsborough students Jessica Espinal and Christine Lowman provide information to the students.
Mr. Ted Timmins, Guidance Counselor at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, provides important financial aid information to students and parents.
Dr. Estelle Miller, Director of the Women's Center and College Now Student Development Coordinator, give students college survival tips.
Professor Mary Ortiz, Department of Biological Sciences, and College Now Science Course Coordinator, explains Kingsborough's Science Curriculum.
