Dreams
By: Emmaus Ferdinand
Dreams
are taken for granted.
Many people wish.
Love, happiness and strength
Are things they want to accomplish.
Some dreams
are fulfilled,
Although many forgotten.
We hope for the future.
Wishes and hopes our dreams begotten.
Dreams
about tomorrow
And what we could've been.
Dreams that are stress-free.
Never any sin.
Regret
is how you feel
When dreams begin to dissolve.
Your dreams were never real.
You thought you could never have them all.
Looking
far back
At your unrealistic dreams,
You think reality it could've been,
Or so it seems.
Your future
is now present.
No more longing for the past.
You lived your life. You had your chance.
The dreams you once dreamed for all are out of grasp.
