College Now has
been an asset to my education thus far. I feel very privileged to be a member
of College Now and experience college level courses at an early age. The fact
that I am also receiving free college credits while I am still in high school
is also a plus. I have taken Humanities and Sociology, and I am currently
taking Statistics. Through Humanities, I was exposed to various forms of art
which immediately spiked my interest. In Sociology, I learned a great deal
about human nature. Currently in Statistics, I am learning much about math,
which I never liked before, and how statistics plays a part in our everyday
lives.

College Now has helped me to prepare for college by letting me experience
what college classes are about. It gave me experience with new subjects and
helped me broaden my interests.

College Now has helped me by expanding my mind. The College Now courses
that I have already taken exposed me to new ideas and concepts that will remain
with me beyond my college experience.

By exposing me to college-level classes in high school, College
Now has helped prepare me for college-level curriculum. College Now has
taught me how to develop better study habits and get the most out of a lesson.
It has also made it easier to adapt to a college environment.
Linda Levin - Curtis High School
College Now has played an intricate part in preparing me for
the beginning of my college career. This experience has enriched my high school
academics giving me a chance to participate in college-level courses while
still in the comfort of my high school. I am now confident in my ability to
make the transition from high school to college.

College Now has defined the way a college student should work and what
goes into being a college student. College Now has been an insightful program
that has helped me improve a variety of skills such as: my speaking, writing
and study skills. I am glad to be part of this program specifically the Student
Advisory Board. I hope to fulfill the duties that are assigned to a student
advisor.

College Now helped me learn about different ways to pay for college.
Through College Now classes, I narrowed down my college choices and it became
easier for me to pick the colleges that I want to apply to. It makes me feel
good knowing that now I will actually go to college with college credits.
As a Student Advisory Board member, I met many people from different schools,
which is the second best thing about College Now. I personally think I gained
leadership skills from this program.

If truth were told, I was initially reluctant to become involved in the College
Now program. However, I am very fortunate that I did, given that College
Now has provided me with several opportunities and advantages. I am currently
enrolled in College Now's Sociology class, BSS 1, which has provided me with
a different perspective on the way I look at situations with my family, with
friends, as well as when watching television and listening to the radio. In
addition, College Now has helped me to gain leadership skills as the Student
Advisor for the program at my school. I am very grateful that I participated
in the College Now program, seeing that I now have eleven college credits
to take with me to the university I will attend next year.
